Information Sites – Where to look for information

So, you are looking for some information I take it. Well you have found something that might make your life easier. Everyone knows to look to Google for information needs, yet what if you can’t find what you are looking for? What if that information is contained in a system that is NOT accessible to the mighty Google? What if the information you seek is in a Civil court record? Maybe you would be better off searching through Property Appraisers records to find out where John Smith used to live.

Wiki = Information = Already crawled and indexed by Google.

Circuit Court Records = Not crawled and usually requires a login to search and view legal docket and proceedings. Keep in mind also that Family Law records will actually require a trip to the court house to view.

Background Checks = The easy way to find out information about someone. However these can be misleading if you do not have enough information to find the correct person. Just the name is not enough unless it is a rare name. Date of birth and social are typically required to perform an accurate background check.

I use and recommend Intelius for Background Checks. We use their Instant People Search to find current and unlisted phone numbers, addresses etc. Search billions of records by maiden name, SSN, or by phone number.

It’s pretty bad to see this company preying on innocent consumers. But Buyer beware this company is out to TAKE your hard earned cash. The company that advertises on cheap national ad slots. Usually late at night and on the more affordable cable networks like comedy central and home and garden TV. I wrote about this company in early 2010. Since I take notice of who and why people come to my site. Noticing the incoming keywords of My Clean PC, I decided to put up another warning with the hopes that people do not succumb to the scam being perpetuated on National TV.

So, downloading music has changed a bit over the course of the last few years. Here’s a way that you can get just about anything you could care to listen to.

  1. Get BitTorrent  – Download, install.
  2. Navigate your browser to http://kat.ph or http:/thepiratebay.org
  3. Search for your artists
  4. Download Torrents and listen to your favorite tunes.

Facebook Search Friends – Tips to reconnect with friends.

If you joined facebook to connect with people you have lost touch with, here are a few good examples of ways to connect.

  • Search for them by their name – The most effective way if you know the name chances are good you will find them or if their name is very common look for schools and workplaces.
  • List your high school and college alma maters. That way you can find people you might have forgotten about, likewise they can find you as well.
  • When you don’t know your former contact’s e-mail address or if his or her name is so common that you can’t find him or her in the search, you can search based on school or workplace.

List as much information as your comfortable giving out, you never know someone might be looking for you as well.
