Live Online Free Television – Where to watch TV for free
Last Updated on Wednesday, 4 January 2012 02:48 Written by Mike Wednesday, 4 January 2012 02:00
Technology sure does make life easier, or does it? If you are trying to find out if you can watch you’re favorite football team when they are not on your local markets channels. You are in luck. As of recently a number of sites have begun streaming real time football games. The quality is not as good as say Direct TV or a cable signal. The real kicker that is attractive to so many is that you can often watch for free. No silly setups or software or satellite cards that get zapped every couple of months.
Here is a link for Football games. http://p2p4u.net. Keep in mind it is not the greatest quality of video. Yet it still beats out the old rabbit ears and tin foil.
Maybe you’re most interested in catching up with soap operas while at work. Piece of cake.

How to Block Facebook – 3 ways for you to choose from
There are a lot of reasons why one might want to block facebook. As with any other social network Facebook can be a source of problems. Employers will see decreased productivity from their employees. Parents are scratching their heads and wondering about their children’s safety and the effect ‘socilizing’ is having on schoolwork and chores.
So we want to show you how to block Facebook and avoid problems connected with it.
The hosts file method and blocking Facebook on Internet Explorer are free but imperfect. Proxy servers can be used to bypass theses security measures and a savvy user with admin priveleges can just remove these methods. Still some protection may get you where you need to be an allow some time to thoroughly understand the options available to you.
How to block Facebook on Internet Explorer
1. Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click on the Content tab
4. Click the Enable button
5. Click on the Approved Sites tab
6. Type www.facebook.com in the box
7. Click Never and then OK
8. In the appeared window type and confirm your new password
9. Click on the General tab and make sure to select Users can see websites that have no ratings

How to block Facebook using the Hosts file
The location of the hosts file depends on your operation system.

Windows 2000 C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Note!
Make a backup of the hosts file and put it somewhere safe, in case you mess up.
1. Open the hosts file using Notepad or other plain text editor. Windows 7 Users must run notepad as an administrator, Otherwise you will not be able to overwrite the hosts file.
2. Click start > type Notepad into search box > right click on notepad search result > select run as administrator.
Next select Open from the file menu > Navigate to the hosts file location > open the file > Paste the following lines at the end of the hosts file
# block facebook
127.0.0.1 facebook.comJust keep in mind that any website you put on one of these lines will be blocked. if you wanted to block YouTube yould add this line;
127.0.0.1 youtube.com
Block MySpace add another line;
127.0.0.1 myspace.com
Get the picture? Good!
3. Paste them into the Hosts file after 127.0.0.1 localhost or at the end of the file.
4. Save and close the Hosts file. Make sure you DO NOT save the file
5. Reboot your computer to apply the changes.
6. Try to open Facebook into a browser.
How to block Facebook using your router:
This is probably the most secure way that you can block access to Facebook. Most routers have tables that will allow us to block specific websites. Many routers also have options to allow access to certain times of the day and by security group or even user level access control. The only problem here is that there are way to many routers on the market to allow me to build a step by step guide. Consult your router documentation or contact me to discuss a remote configuration option.

#4sqday Tampa
Last Updated on Saturday, 17 April 2010 02:16 Written by Mike Saturday, 17 April 2010 01:41
What a novel concept concocted by my friend @NateBW over at Bright Eyes Vision Care. That’s right a person I know, came up with the whole foursquare day idea. April 16th is now officially known as foursquare day. 4/16 is 4squared = 16 Get it? Yeah OK just checking
What an awesome event this was, it really brings home the impact social media has on local businesses. Tweetup’s are pretty informal and probably a lot less organized or centered around businesses than a 4sq swarm type event. We unlocked the Swarm badge (50+ checkins at one location) in like 30 minutes. While Tampa did not make the Goal of 250 check ins for a Super Swarm badge, something tells me we are not far from achieving that milestone.
Afterall foursquare is still young. Most people have heard of twitter and facebook. If you mention foursquare, people probably think you are talking about that game you played in grade school. Remember that? four kids, four squares in a 2×2 grid, one ball…the ensuing chaos!
This version of foursquare is much, much better. This version is a game of sorts, with people ‘checking’ in to places they frequently visit. Earning badges and completing to do’s. Competing for mayor titles, and generating user supplied content about the places they frequent.
Businesses are in love with the cost effective ways of promoting their offerings through an online presence. Take for example the Hyatt Regency in Downtown. Not only did they host the Tampa 4sqday event, they offer a huge discount of %50 off purchases made by the mayor of their location. You get to be mayor of an establishment by checking in there more than anyone else over a 60 day period.
Watch this service blossom as adoption rates by local businesses soar. What possibilities could foursquare unlock for your business? Does you business have any tips? Have you claimed your business and made a special offer available to foursquare users?
You should act now, before your competition does. This is one great tool for business. Geek out!
