Sponsored Tweets – Sponsored post

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sponsored Tweets. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was a little apprehensive about sponsored tweets at first, however my initial discord was quickly put to rest. I was on site at IZEAFest @ SeaWorld recently, when it was launched officially. After reviewing the policies, disclosures then seeing all the buzz, I made up my mind that IZEA has a winner on their hands.

Sponsored Tweets is an online marketplace that connects twitter users with advertisers. Twitter users are compensated to engage in sponsored dialogue through Twitter. Advertisers in turn pay Sponsored Tweets which in turn pays the twitter user. Pretty simple cash in exchange for a sponsored tweet.

Once you have an account you can set a lot of different variables, things like price per tweet, content rating, categories, keywords, even whether or not you want to write the tweet or let the advertiser write it themselves.

I mentioned earlier about their disclosure, I really feel this is an important area for a couple of reasons. One it lets the reader know that there is a connection. Two IZEA attempts to make good in the eyes of the FTC. Now that disclosure is required from compensated product or service reviews, Sponsored Tweets makes it perfectly clear about what it is they are doing.

Tweeters remain in control of their account at all times. There are no automatic ads; each and every tweet must be manually reviewed and approved by each tweeter. I have turned down tweets that do not sit well with me. To see what I am talking about first sign up for sponsored tweets
